“Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth.”
Proverbs 4:5 AMPC

” When we have God’s wisdom about a matter, we get understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation of the issue from His perspective.”
The deciding factor between failure and success at times is the lack or presence of one key ingredient in our lives- Wisdom. All too often we size up our problems and quickly surmise what we feel would be the obvious solution or the best path based on our limited understanding . However, we fail ask the limitless One who can see ahead of us and has the big picture. Without this vital information, we can unintentionally misstep or go down the wrong path. James 1:5 instructs us that “ he who lacks wisdom let Him ask of God who gives generously to all..” and I Corinthians 1:30 states that Jesus has “become to us wisdom from God.” When we have God’s wisdom about a matter, we “get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation” (Prov.4:5) of the issue from His perspective.
What is the outward evidence that we have God’s wisdom?
1. First, we honor and revere God (The fear of the Lord is the beginning , Prov. 8:13)
2. We hate evil, pride, arrogance and the evil way. (Prov 8:13)
3. We hate perverted and twisted speech (Prov. 8:13)
4. We have counsel and sound knowledge (Prov. 8:14)
5. We have understanding (Prov. 8:14)
6. We have might and power (Prov. 8:14)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I declare that You are Lord and sovereign over my life today and always. I ask for Your perspective in every situation and I receive your divine wisdom today.
