“Have not I commanded thee? Chazak! And be of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for Hashem Eloheicha is with thee everywhere thou goest.”Joshua 1:9 OJB
It all began on 10/20 with my husband having a series of dreams about impending storms. The first night, he awoke suddenly, jumped out of the bed and raised the window. He had a dream that a storm was outside of our home. Our son’s name, “Joshua” came to him, so we began praying. The second night 10/21/24, he dreamed that there was a tornado outside of our home. We continued to pray and asked the Holy Spirit to direct us how to pray. The third night 10/22/24, he dreamed yet again of a storm; however, this time, we were all safe in a large building. I also had a dream this night. Up until this point, I believed that God was warning us for our immediate family, however, after this dream, I believe this is a word for the Body of Christ.
The Dream
There was a war zone, a battleground with mortars going off all around us, but never touching us.
We seemed to be in an area where refugees were arriving. There were many beds on the field neatly lined in a row with white and cream colored linens. A mother and her son were there, thanking God for this place of refuge.
I looked in my lap and there was a box. I opened the box which revealed its contents, our worn, brown leather Bible. I perceived this to mean “the Word concealed for this time now accessible.”
I was taken into the dream where I had a vantage point of the entire battlefield. To the left, I saw the name “Joshua” [name meaning-The Lord is My Salvation”] and I heard the scripture, Joshua 1:9.
(When I looked this up, I was prompted to read it in the OJB [Orthodox Jewish Bible] version which reads:
“Have I not commanded you, Chazak! [may your strength be firm /strength and courage] And be of good courage be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for Hashem Eloheicha is with thee everywhere thou goest.”
I know many names of God, but this was unfamiliar to me. In looking it up, Hashem Eloheicha means: “The Lord thy God, He that goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to save you”
After I heard the scripture, I heard this statement:
“Susi (one of my sisters, whose name means “Lily”), is bringing you eggs from the cemetery. I perceived this to mean “dead things, such as hopes and dreams, will live” In praying this through with one of my sisters, we believe this also means dead promises will live. Also, significantly, a lily represents “resurrection” and “new life.”
There was more to this dream that I am praying into and will not share at this time, but I am lead to encourage you today with this summary of the dream:
1. Though a storm is coming you will be safe and sheltered in God’s presence
2. Though a battle may be raging around you it will not touch you
3. God has concealed a Word for this time that is now accessible to us in this battle- Joshua 1:9 and His name-Hashem Eloheicha, the Lord your God that goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to save you. Use this to decree and pray at this time.
4. Be encouraged, as dead things WILL LIVE! The hopes, dreams and promises you have given up on will suddenly be resurrected and come to life and fruition.
