God Capacity

“..that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” Ephesians 3:19 AMPC

We weren’t designed to be filled with something, we were designed to be filled with Someone!”

I was sitting in prayer and worship one morning when the words, “Who can satisfy my soul” came to mind. “Yes, Lord, who can satisfy my soul?” I responded, and the Holy Spirit began to give me another revelation.

When people are searching for satisfaction- something to fill the void within them, they often look everywhere else. They look for relationships, addictions, power, money, and find, at the end of the day, that it just doesn’t cut it. No matter how much they fill up on the things this world can offer, they still are left with that hollow, dissatisfied feeling. Why? Because the void within them is as deep and as expansive as an infinite God.

When God breathed His breath of life into Adam He gave Adam God- capacity in his spirit. This is why a human being could hold a legion of fallen angels (AKA demons) as depicted in Mark 5:9. You know me, I had to look up how many a legion was. A legion is at least 6,000 demons. How could over 6,000 demons occupy one human? Because of our God capacity. Thank God that Jesus drove those demonic forces out of the man and he became whole again.

Think about this. Man’s spiritual capacity is as limitless as God, and we are designed to be filled and live lives that are fulfilled. However, the things of this world cannot seem to fit the bill. That’s because we weren’t designed to be filled with something, we were designed to be filled with Someone. The only One who can satisfy us, and can fill the emptiness within us is the One who is limitless Himself- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the missing piece you’ve been waiting for. He is the One who can fulfill your desires and give you a hope, a destiny and a future! Will you choose Him to fill and fulfill you today?

Prayer: Father, I choose today to look to You to satisfy me. I am not content with the things of this world. They just don’t work. I put my life in Your hands today. Be Lord over my life. I trust You now to fill me and fulfill every desire in Jesus’ name.
