“13 “Go in through the narrow gate; for the gate that leads to destruction is wide and the road broad, and many travel it; 14 but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13 CJB

Last week I realized that we have entered into that “narrow passageway” the Holy Spirit was referring to in my last post. As we began experiencing spiritual attack- little inconveniences, car trouble, financial trouble, stresses and pressures arising from all sides, I had that “aha” moment where I said, “This is it. This is the test-the narrow passageway.” On Sunday (11/17/24) God began speaking to me and lead me to Matthew chapter 7. I believe these are key points to navigating this season with godly wisdom.
Key1-Let God Alone be Judge vs. 1 “Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2 For the way you judge others is how you will be judged — the measure with which you measure out will be used to measure to you.”
In this vital moment where God has taken seat as Judge in the earth, we need to be introspective, taking time to ask Him to reveal to us any areas we need to deal with in ourselves. We need to allow God to be judge and not take position in the judgement seat against others. He alone is Judge.
Key2- Do Not Waste Kingdom Treasures. v6 “Don’t give to dogs what is holy, and don’t throw your pearls to the pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, then turn and attack you.”
Do not waste your God-given resources or things of Kingdom value on those who will not appreciate it or may even become hostile towards you for sharing it.
Key 3-Be Persistent vs7 “Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened.”
Don’t give up! It is a season to be persistently pursuing and decreeing the promises God has made to you over the years. He has promised that our persistence will be rewarded. Continue to trust God that He is a Giver of good things.
Key 4- The Golden Rule for the Golden Age vs.12“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torah and the Prophets.”
Since Fall of 2023, God has been speaking to me about the Church stepping into the Golden Age of the Church. He had me to get a golden colored journal in November of 2023. Now, one year later, I am hearing others speak of this time- A Golden Age. As we navigate this season, I believe there will be a rekindling of The Golden Rule society used to teach children from a young age- treating others the way you would like them to treat you.
Key 5-Beware of False Prophets vs.“Beware of the false prophets! They come to you wearing sheep’s clothing, but underneath they are hungry wolves! 16 You will recognize them by their fruit.”
This is a season, as it has been for some time now, to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and follow His lead. Don’t listen to the news. Trust God to give you discernment to know who the “wolves in sheep clothing” are. Trust God to bring you the truth and ask Him to let you see things with clarity. We should not judge, but we can be fruit inspectors! Jesus said we will “know them by their fruit.”
Finally, Jesus said if we do all of these things, we will be wise and our lives will be resilient against adversity. vs.24-25 “So, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on bedrock. 25 The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on rock.”
We are getting through the narrow passageway successfully through God’s grace. I am confident this is GREAT VICTORY on the other side!
